Handi-Wheels Transportation, Inc.

This non-profit organization provides lift equipped transportation to people who have North Dakota Medicaid.  This is a shared ride service which means the driver may pick up and drop off other passengers on the way to the rider’s destination.

Paying for your ride
The cost of a ride is $11 one way. If the passenger has North Dakota Medicaid, Handi-Wheels will bill Medicaid for that ride. The passenger would only pay for the ride if there is recipient liability which is an amount a Medicaid eligible person must pay before Medicaid will pay expenses.

Hours of service
Handi-Wheels is available:
Monday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekend rides are based on attendance.

Area served
Primarily residents of Fargo and West Fargo, North Dakota. No service is provided outside the Fargo-Moorhead Metro Area.

Contact Handi-Wheels Transportation at 701.232.3231, Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm.  Rides are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.  Reservations are required by noon the day before the scheduled ride.
