How to Ride Metro Area Transit

This page is designed to provide you with all the basic information you need for your next trip on a Metro Area Transit bus. Our customer service representatives are available to provide you with additional assistance. You can reach them at 232-7500.

Hours of operation: Metro Area Transit's Ground Transportation Center is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Our night routes run until 10:15 p.m.

Guaranteed Ride Home Program
If you need to leave work early due to an emergency or have to work unscheduled overtime, the cost of transportation may be eligible for reimbursement by the Guaranteed Ride Home Program. The program reimburses you up to $15 per trip, two times per year, when certain transportation emergencies occur. To be eligible, you must currently be riding the MAT bus with an unlimited "Monthly Pass" or be in a registered car pool. To apply for the Guaranteed Ride Home Program, just call Metro Area Transit at (701) 232-7500.
