Highlights and hurdles of living a car-free life

FARGO — After the first couple days of hubris, last minute text messages and soggy-sneakers — "No Drive Month" felt "almost" easy.
Like avid cyclist and Kilbourne Group Project Manager Mike Zimney, I felt empowered to find new routes to home, work and life.
But so far living a car-less life requires more attention to detail, trust and resourcefulness than I first imagined. Currently on day 10 (as this article is being written), I'll highlight six simple observations. Ever the optimist, I'll share three positives first.
