Detours

Beginning July 14, 34th Street in Moorhead will be closed between Hwy 10 and 4th Ave S. Because of this, Route 3 will have major detour affecting a large portion of the route.

This detour is expected to last until October 2025. The detour paths may change as the construction project areas shift.

Route 3 will take 20th St northbound to Hwy 10 from 12th Ave S. The route will take the Hwy 10 frontage road between 28th St & 32nd St, then turn north onto 32nd St. The route will then travel by Runnings to 30th St N and back to Hwy 10. The detour by Runnings is set in preparation for other construction starting the following week, limiting access to the Cash Wise parking lot from 34th St. Route 3 will NOT be accessing 12th Ave S, 4th Ave S and 34th St.

Route 9 will take Hwy 10 and SE Main to get to Walmart. Route 9 will not be able to access the Horizon Middle School area, and the Menards/Moorhead Learning Center area. Riders will be able to board Route 9 at existing Route 3 bus stops on 12th Ave. S.

Beginning July 14, Route 6 will take Hwy 10 between the Carpet Garage and 34th St S, due to the closing of 34th Street in Moorhead between Hwy 10 and 4th Ave S. Route 6 will not be able to pick up passengers by Pizza Ranch or CVS during this time.

This detour is set to last for approximately 4 months.

This is in addition to the current detour off of 1st Ave SE in Dilworth.

Beginning July 1, 2025, due to road work on 1st Ave SE in Dilworth, Route 6 will be detoured for a few days. Route 6 will take Center Ave between 7th St SE and 2nd St SW. This detour starts immediately.

Beginning Monday June 2, there will be an additional update to the
Route 4 detours. Due to the relocation of a lift station in the area by Park View Terrace and One Riverside, Route 4 will be taking 1st Ave from 8th St to the river. The detour will not be able to access Park View Terrace at the door or the north side of Center Ave for most of the summer. A temporary bus stop sign will be put up on 1st Ave N straight out from the Park View Terrace building. Route 4 will start picking up passengers there on June 2nd.

Due to the closure of NP Ave, Route 13 will be detoured beginning June 2. The closure of NP Ave is expected to last up to 90 days.

Inbound Detour: Route 13 will turn north onto 10th St. N, east onto 1st Ave N, then south onto 5th St. N.

Riders can request pick-up or drop-off at any safe intersection along the route detour path. When waiting to board, be sure to wave to the approaching bus to get the attention of the driver. Route 14 will be detoured beginning April 7, due to road construction on 32nd Ave S. The project is expected to be completed fall 2025.

Outbound Detour: Route 14 will turn south onto 15th St. S, west on 35th Ave S, north on 25th St. S, then turn west onto 32nd Ave S, back on route.

Inbound Detour: Reverse of outbound.

Beginning Monday May 12th, Route 20 will be detoured due to road construction on 7th Ave W. The project is expected to be completed on June 12.

Outbound Detour: Route 20 will turn north onto Sheyenne St, west on Main Ave W, then turn south onto 8th St W, back on route.
